Johann Strauss was born in a catholic family in St Ulrich near Vienna on 25 October 1825. His father Johann Strauss 1 was also a composer, and thus wanted his son to become banker and not a musician, but Johann Strauss secretly studied violin.

Johann Strauss the famous Austrian composer of light music (particularly dance music and operettas). He had composed 500 waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, and many other type of dance music. He was also known as ‘The Waltz King’. Some of his most famous works include The Blue Danube, Tales from the Vienna woods and many more.
Johann Strauss made his amazing debut at Dommayer casino in October 1844. Like many other artist Johann Strauss career also started with struggle but he soon overcome this struggle by performing away from home.

This is Vienna most eye catching monument and this monument is most photographed. It is located on the entrance of the Stadtpark. It is made up of gold and was set up in 1921. He died on 3 June 1899 in Vienna.
